We’re proud to present a guest mix by Richard Chartier (aka Pinkcourtesyphone) – American sound artist/designer who was tirelessly pushing the boundaries of minimalism and ambience for the past three decades. His vast back catalog includes collaborations with the likes of Taylor Deupree, Kim Cascone, William Basinski and Asmus Tietchens as well as numerous solo releases on Raster-Noton, Room 40 and Ash International. In addition to his recorded output Richard produces video/sound installations and runs Line / 3Particles labels.

Mix that Richard made for us is a combination of classic industrial/ambient (Einsturzende Neubauten, Coil, Tangerine Dream) and some new names/faces (Ian Wellman, Tasos Stamou, Best Available Technology). Given that its nearly 2 hours long, this mix got something for everyone (there’s even a track by decidedly non-experimental ABC, but the one that got a decidedly fascinating atmosphere).
