KQED Arts
Since 2016, downtown Oakland gallery Pro Arts has become a staple venue for experimental electronic music and multimedia performance through its Hybrid series. Organizer Michael Daddona, who runs Ratskin Records, is well connected to local and touring artists operating in the murky intersections of noise and video, techno and performance art. But with fewer underground venues to host such gigs in Oakland, he’s found a fitting alternative at Pro Arts.
STASIS is a three day festival focused on experimental sound, video and expanded performances mixed and curated by Malo of Ratskin Records. Please look up the artists and support their work!

The festival is to help support ongoing exhibitions and expanded sound and performance work at Pro Arts, especially through the Hybrid Series program. The program hosts 3-4 monthly events, showcasing experimental music, performance art, expanded cinema and sound art from local national and international artists with a focus on marginalized artists of all identities.
Performances during the festival will take the form of music and sound, expanded sound and video presentations, performance art works, and culminating on the last day with an pop-up market, featuring local and national artists selling records and recorded media, prints, clothing, jewelry, paintings, sculptures and more.
