Cat Temper – alias of Boston-based meowsician Mike Langlie, mixing retro Synthpop, Electro, Punk, Hair Metal, and the sounds of 8-bit videogames. He sits on the fringes of the Synthwave movement in a genre his fans have named “Meowave”. Like the name implies, Cat Temper switches gears from friendly to ferocious in the blink of an eye or the swish of a tail.
Dyr Faser – Combining space rock and post-punk with the Southern twang element in 80s indie rock characteristic of bands like the Hoodoo Gurus, they are creating original dark soundscapes without all the gloom so many ‘dark’ bands are notorious for. In this case, this feels like a sonic soliloquy designed for clarity of mind. – Subba Cultcha
