[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””] Amusement Parks On Fire came to prominence in 2004 with the release of the eponymous debut album, conceived and consummated by the then-adolescent founder Michael Feerick and phonically actualized on a shoestring with Nottingham cohabitant Daniel Knowles. Issued on Geoff Barrow (of Portishead)’s Invada label, it was described by the New Musical Express as ‘hedonistic teenage genius’.

Our latest guest mix comes courtesy of British art-rockers/shoegazers Amusement Parks on Fire whose history stretches all the way back to early 2000s and features a string of highly-acclaimed albums on Invada, V2 and Filter US Recordings. More recently the band signed to Texas imprint Saint Marie which so far put out two of their EPs – last year’s Our Goal to Realize and its follow-up All the New Ends.
The mix that APoF made comes in two flavors – Spotify and Youtube and features 19 tracks by luminaries (Deerhoof, Blonde Redhead, Broadcast) and new names (Drahla, Pip Blom, Marine Store Dealer) alike. It culminates in a 15-minute track by cult Australian trio The Necks.
