It seems like it wasn’t that long ago that Sandy Dupois sent in Taylor Swift/Swim Fan single for review to I Heart Noise (and reviewed IHRTN did). Fast-forward to 2015 and the band was profiled/name-checked by everyone from Stereogum to Vanity Fair to Pitchfork (all for a good reason as they toured and recorded seemingly non-stop). It should come as no surprise, then, that this year was especially busy for Speedy Ortiz – they released Foil Deer LP, toured Europe and produced a David Lynch-styled video for My Dead Girl. The band is currently signed to Carpark Records. SO is kicking off their Girls Rock Camp benefit tour with a show at Providence, RI AS220 (along with Downtown Boys and Whore Paint). The 11 day tour will take the band through Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Baltimore, among other cities. Tour dates (via Brooklyn Vegan): Dec 8, 2015 PROVIDENCE, RI AS220 Dec 9, 2015 BOSTON, MA Middle East Dec 10, 2015 PHILADELPHIA, PA First Unitarian Church Dec 11, 2015 BROOKLYN, NY Silent Barn Dec 12, 2015 BROOKLYN, NY Palisades Dec 13, 2015 BALTIMORE, MD Metro Gallery Dec 14, 2015 RICHMOND, VA The Camel Dec 15, 2015 DURHAM, NC The Pinhook Dec 16, 2015 ATLANTA, GA Drunken Unicorn Dec 17, 2015 NASHVILLE, TN The End Dec 18, 2015 LOUISVILLE, KY The New Vintage
