16th studio album by SY and their first for Matador (previously the band recorded for Geffen Records / DGC for whom they recorded “Goo”, “Dirty”, “Experimental Jet Set, Trash And No Star” (among other albums) and 2008 “Rather Ripped”, after which they left Geffen ). Cover art was done by John Fahey and the album is dedicated to Ron Asheton (Stooges guitarist, who passed away in January of ’09).
Also, there’s a special Japanese edition of the album called “Sonik Tooth Box Set”, which includes a second CD of SY’s live performance at Battery Park, NY in 2008, as well as two bonus tracks.
