New Music Releases

Listed below are some of the new releases for April, according to Brainwashed / websites:

A Hawk And A Hacksaw – Delivrance (Leaf)
Acid Mothers Temple – Lord Of The Underground: Vishnu And The Magic Elixir (Alien 8)
Akron / Family – Set ‘Em Wild, Set ‘Em Free (Dead Oceans)
Alan Vega / A.R.E. Weapons – See Tha Light / War (Blast First Petite)

Synth maestro Alan Vega hooks it up with NYC’s A.R.E. Weapons for two noise spiked, narco-rocked efforts. ‘See Tha Light’ sets Vegas vocals to a background of slow rock loops fed through industrial filters while ‘War’ shreds distroted riffage around emaciated drum machines and skronky no-wave sax. – Boomkat

Anathallo – Canopy Glow (Anticon)

Chicago band Anathallo deliver their first album for Anticon and their second album in total, following up on 2006’s Floating World. This sonically ambitious septet stir up a tremendously mellifluous, unceasingly complex set of songs, fleshing out poly-instrumental arrangements, but significantly, never at the expense of the songs themselves. – Boomkat
