Patricia Brennan – Maquishti (Valley of Search) / We are very proud to announce that Patricia Brennan’s @pfvibes debut album “Maquishti” will be released on January 15, 2021 (First 100 on smoke vinyl) (h/t Beauty Pill)

REAL NUMBERS – Brighter Then (Slumberland Records) / Following on from 2016’s “Wordless Wonder” LP and 2017’s “Frank Infatuation” single, Minneapolis’ Real Numbers are back with a brand new EP entitled “Brighter Then.” In the interim the combo has expanded to a 5-piece, adding Sophie Durbin on keyboards. “Brighter Then” was recorded over winter 2019/2020 and shows the band journeying deeper into late 80’s indiepop than ever before (h/t 3hive)

White Boy Scream – Bakunawa (Deathbomb Arc) / The vinyl edition of White Boy Scream ‘BAKUNAWA’ comes out in January! Be sure to preorder your copy now!!

-ence – Dissensual Grooves / I had so much fun doing this remix and totally immersing myself in those amazing sounds. It was like creating a sonic mosaic – This Ship Argo

Zack Dolin – Dawn of Claymation (Ingrown Records) / Here’s some prog midi weirdness for you all if you’re looking to scratch that itch today!

Camp of Wolves – Granite Creek (Soundtracking the Void) / The new album from David Salisbury’s electronic project Camp Of Wolves is heavy, man. Not in a d-tuned guitar and screamo vocals heavy, but the kind of heavy that hits you when you least expect it driving to work, or staring out at the sea

Burial Grid – We’ve Come For Your Flesh / sneak peek

Spendar – Coniunctio (Unifactor Tapes) / Pre-orders now available for latest album is up now. Almost an hour of jams made over the last 2 years (h/t Good Willsmith)

Ryan J Raffa – We Have Always Existed (A Red Thread) (h/t Patricia Wolf) / All proceeds for January 2021 went to Transgender Law Center, which “changes law, policy, and attitudes so that all people can live safely, authentically, and free from discrimination regardless of their gender identity or expression” / full-length cassette version is available via Aural Canyon

Stephan Barrett & Matt Atkins – Still (Steep Gloss) / Soundtrack your new years malaise with some fraught piano and micro electronics / Brand new for 2021

Good Willsmith – HausLive 2: Good Willsmith at Sleeping Village, 4/25/2019 (Hausu Mountain) / The first GWS material released since 2016’s “Things Our Bodies Used to Have” shows the crew moving away from drone zones and into cyborgian prog zones

Dais Queue – No Plans / These new songs by @DavisSalisbury are totally unique from one another and undefinable in general (in the best way)… evoking something like Loren Connors + Lightning Bolt somehow in the same 10-minute span – Darren Hoyt/Cerca

Buck Curran: WFMU ‘The Frow Show’ Live Session (Feat. Jodi Pedrali) (Obsolete Recordings) (h/t JJ Stannard)

Luxurious Faux Furs – Like A Real Shadow (Mandinga Records) (via Live Eye TV) / The duo, comprised of drummer/vocalist Jessica-Melain and guitarist/vocalist Josh Lee Hooker, formed in New York City back in 2011, but the pair now resides in New Orleans. The location seems to be the perfect environs for their sweaty brand of swamp-juiced Blues.

Tobias Karlehag – Process (Past Inside the Present) / Tobias Karlehag is a multi-instrumentalist and sound artist from Gothenburg, Sweden. With his solo project he creates spacious ambient and drone music through algorithmic compositions and improvisation (via zake)
