Doomsayer

Mythic Sunship – Wildfire (Tee Pee Records)

Ripping apart the foundation that the previous albums were built upon, the group has reinvented itself to present an album showcasing the band at its core and most primal form. Recorded over the course of four intense days in Stockholm’s generously vintage RMV Studio, the album documents the erratic, visceral, untameable musical organism that Mythic Sunship becomes once unleashed in improvisatory interplay.

Mt. Mountain – Centre (Fuzz Club)

Hailing from Perth, Australia, Mt. Mountain deal in a sprawling, motorik psychedelic rock sound that journeys between tranquil, drone-like meditations and raucous, full-throttle wig-outs that’ll blow your mind as much as your speakers.

Dope Purple – Grateful End (Riot Season)

I’ve no idea what the interest will be in this one, but for me anyone with a love of Acid Mothers, Hibushibire, Les Rallizes Denudes etc should be all over it … but I’m biased obviously. That said, that’s exactly what got me into them when i stumbled across a link to this album last year.

Greenleaf ~ Echoes From A Mass (Napalm Records)

Like clockwork, Swedish stoner rockers GREENLEAF spread their concentrated sludgy energy to disciples of the genre by releasing Echoes From A Mass in 2021, the successor to their 2018 epic, Hear The Rivers.

The Black Heart Death Cult – Sonic Mantras (Kozmik Artifactz)

Welcome to “Sonic Mantras”. The second album from Melbourne heavy psych/shoegazers The Black Heart Death Cult. TBHDC don’t sing songs about love, they love. They try to understand what lies beneath & come up with the heart felt frustration of the fucked up state of humanity.
Please take the time to listen to the earth. It is crying.
This is what it sounds like.

Yo No Se – Terraform (Stolen Body)

Alastor – Onwards and Downwards (RidingEasy)

Excelsior! It’s the hail of yore that one should go ever onward and upward. And so, fittingly Onwards and Downwards is the occultist Swedish band Alastor’s clever call to arms… and also a reflection of our collective dark state of mind these days.

T-TOPS – Staring At A Static Screen (Magnetic Eye)

Sophomore T-TOPS full-length “Staring at a Static Screen” is as gritty and soaked with urban detritus as it gets. The trio’s new album is a dirty symphony of car wrecks, grimy alleys, beat-to-shit jeans, and bottomless reservoirs of snarling rust-belt antipathy translated into musical form. These tracks give voice to every screaming impulse hidden deep inside, and with each spin the blood boils hotter.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – L.W. (Flightless)

This download of L.W. comes with tree (that’s right tree). $1 from every download will be donated to Greenfleet, who plant native biodiverse forests in Australia and New Zealand.

We’re aiming to make 2000 downloads which is enough to revegetate 1,000m2 at Pearsons Block in Central Victoria. Some of the species endemic to this region include Yellow Box (Eucalyptus melliodora), Varnish Wattle (Acacia verniciflua) and Sweet Bursaria (Bursaria spinosa).

You will be creating habitat for the local wildlife species, playing a vital role in reconnecting parts of the Wychitella Biolink. Some of the species known to the area are Lace monitors, Quolls and the vulnerable Mallee Fowl. Other native and endangered bird species can be found in the area as well, including Shy Heathwrens and Inland Thornbills.

The Ginger Faye Bakers – Camaro
