Robert Turman – Andromeda FLX-260 / chill new release from cryptic drone/postindustrial elder Robert Turman – JPB
Emmaleen Tangleweed – The Weaving (Cruel Nature) / Recorded in September 2025 in a log cabin in Swartvlei (“black lake”), Western Cape, South Africa. Emmaleen Tangleweed’s new album is a collection of gothic folk and blues ballads tinged with hypnotic magic realism. Bare‑boned, acoustic arrangements feature banjo, various guitars, and cello performed by Lliezel Ellick.
On Our Own Clock – S/T (Mushroom Hour Half Hour) (h/t Dillon)
Dave Heumann – Chimes of Freedom // Further Adventures of Big Ten / The first is apt & poignant as ever and beautifully rendered. The latter spins us out into orbit, riding a familiar riff in 10… – J.M. Hart
El Universo – S/T / This rips – Dillon
Carla Dal Forno – Confession / Recently been enjoying this album, released in late April, that charts a course through dub and post-punk influences but in a quiet, rainy-day-pop context. It’s intimate and introverted – Listening Habit
Fenne Lily – Win Win (h/t Ezra Brooks)

Robert Swindells – Ice Palace / Was on a work call earlier and this book fell off the shelf above my computer and landed in my lap. It’s a first edition of the first book I chose myself, from a school book club thing when I was five (that copy I still have!) – Unspun Heroes
