[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]I can’t help but think Paul McCartney is probably kicking himself for not thinking of composing “Poor Thing,” with its sweet harmonies and lulling melody. The piano-driven track is coupled with an unassuming bassline which allows everything else to swirl around it, just like the infrequency of guitars. It’s a difference from the opening title-track, which reeks of 90s-indie inspiration but sounds as contemporary as it can get.

Cherchez la femme they say in France and that certainly applies to both Burn My Letters, first solo album by William Carlos Whitten/Bill Whitten and a trilogy of videos he produced for the said album. Poor Thing picks up from where the videos for title track off of BML and In My Borsalino, Pointing a Revolver left off with Theresa Russell portraying the femme fatale.
