Video Premiere: The Modern Folk – Division Street Bus

Someone once noted that Morrissey seem to have an obsession with driving or being driven as reflected in his lyrics/song titles (i.e. Boy Racer, Driving Your Girlfriend Home). These days many would prefer for someone to drive over Morrissey due to his endless proclamations of allegiance to far-right.
Thankfully the subject of today’s conversation shares little with Morr ideology-wise, but his latest video and song do seem to be focused on driving/motion. Division Street Bus is latest in the series of homemade videos produced by J Moss (The Modern Folk Music of America / Practice Records) – rather simple but tasty nod/homage to both America’s past and the old fingerpicking masters (Kottke, Fahey, Basho et al.).
