Song Premiere: Ship & Sail – Get Clean

Rare it is to hear something as accomplished as From Seeds, debut from Michigan’s Ship & Sail (aka Colin Haggerty). All the intricate song arrangements and the atmospheric touches found within that record pack quite a punch and one can only wonder what kind of splash the LP would’ve made in the hands oflike Merge or Saddle Creek.

And now Colin is about to up the ante. Get Clean, the new single from S&S, brings together all the elements described above (the atmosphere and the intricate/heavily layered songs), but it also comes with songwriting rivaling that of FS. The end result is a sweet pop/rock/folk treat, a nutritious blend of strings, guitar and drums.
Hymnal by Ship & Sail is out on June 28 via Two Foot Parade
