Song Premiere // Beast Nest – Kim, People Are Dying

Maybe its my obsession with all things 90s, but the title of this here track we’re premiering today made me think of both Kim Gordon and Kim Deal. I’d like to believe that neither of Kims would let people die if it came down to it and thankfully this track proves to be less gloomy than the title implies.

The vibe on display is that of a colorful forest filled with exotic animals and birds and drums pounding in celebration. Think Hiroshi Yoshimura’s Green with more beat/pep in step and you’re halfway there.

So, again – why the gloomy title? I can only guess, but my feeling is that…whoever Kim is, she needs to listen. People are dying, indeed, and we got to stop that. While the music is nice and pretty, we shall not forget about evils of this world and if this track will push more people to do so we’ll all win in the end.

Sicko by Beast Nest is out on January 28 via Ratskin Records
