Song Premiere – Conan Neutron & The Secret Friends – Avid Fan

“Avid Fan” (plucked from “The Art of Murder” – upcoming sophomore LP from California trio Conan Neutron & The Secret Friends) is 3 minutes of pure bliss for any fan of Melvins (or good music, for that matter).
Not only the band features Dale Crover (Melvins/Nirvana) in its line-up, but the almighty Buzz Osbourne also provides backup vox on this track  – expect lots of sludgy and meaty grooves and a lot of references to Hannibal Lecter!
As per liner notes to the Art of Murder

This record was directly inspired by the Hannibal Lecter series of books by Thomas Harris. Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal and the fascinating interpersonal dynamics between the characters within. As well as some of the other associated material around the characters of said stories. Certain phrases are cited in the lyrical content and are done so with the utmost respect and admiration.

Conan Neutron & The Secret Friends is Conan Neutron, Tony Ash and Dale Crover – artwork for The Art of Murder was created by Rick Froberg (Drive Like Jehu/ Hot Snakes)
