lee – Alcyonian (Concrete Collage)

We are once again very glad to present to you this first solo album by one of our favorite producers, lee.

The Bristol resident has been mostly releasing tracks on compilations for labels such as Gablonkers , Calcul and Evel Records. He caught our attention with a very disctinctive melodic style and skillful intricate drum programming.

Luiz Carlos Vinhas – O Som Psicodélico De L. C. V. (Mad About Records)

Piano player from Rio de Janeiro, he started playing at night in the late 1950s, quickly participating in the Bossa Nova movement.
He joined the legendary Bossa Três alongside drummer Edison Machado and bassist Tião Neto, with whom he recorded three albums in the United States in 1962.

Kris & Tavi – S/T (Misophonia Records)

Probably the most beautiful album you will hear this year. The heavily reverbed guitar of Peter Kris (from legends German Army) weaves hazily around the ethereal voice of Tara Tavi (solo artist as well as stints in Amps For Christ and Auto Da Fe) creating something deeply immersive and atmospheric.

Markus Floats – Third Album (Constellation Records)

Third Album is the Constellation debut from Montréal-based multi-disciplinary artist and musician/composer Markus Lake, an active force in the city’s DIY music community who’s been releasing synthetic audio works under the Markus Floats moniker over the past decade – alongside playing bass in wide range of punk, post-punk, experimental and Afrofuturist outfits (including Elle Barbara’s Black Space and Egyptian Cotton Arkestra) and co-founding the local indie music space Drones Club.

London-based performance-art duo

Bobby Vylan (vocals and production) and Bobbie (stylised as Bobb13) Vylan (drums and spiritual inspiration) creating a socio-political maelstrom of hardcore punk and grime/rap

Breakthrough performer at the 2018 AFROPUNK London Battle of the Bands

They’re both DIY, both started by the working class, and the middle class continues to fetishise both of them

I spend more time inside than outside.

In Paris, my existence is organised in the interior volumes of anthropocentric architecture: the apartment, the shop, the Métro, the café, the library, the cinema, etc. I spend more time indoors than outdoors. All the buildings I frequent constitute my personal ecosystem of the city, a world in itself. Sheltered, maybe even removed from the outside world, each architectural space encloses, on a small human scale, a part of reality. What is this reality made of, this reality that conditions my life inside? What relationships do I have with this reality, with these interior environments?
