2010 marked passing of Ronnie James Dio (Black Sabbath, Dio), Peter Steele (Type O Negative, Carnivore) and Debbie Abono, who served as a manager to numerous metal bands (Exodus, Forbidden, Sepultura and Possessed, among others).
Rob Flynn from Machine Head recorded a heartfelt version of Black Sabbath’s “Die Young”, which could be seen as a tribute to both Abono and Dio. In his own words:

I don’t know why I recorded this song — it doesn’t really have relevance to Debbie or Dio — but I was sad and depressed and it was the only thing that made sense in the world.
