Download Vault – Boston Edition – Aeon, Koala, Lion Cub, Walter Sickert & The Army Of Broken Toys

Aeon – Solo project of Allston-based musician Michael Lombardi. All of his work is available for download via the band’s Bandcamp page.
“Aeon is two bands in one, or one band with a split personality – Aeon Solaris & Aeon Vespertine.”
Further Info: Facebook / MySpace / Bandcamp / Purevolume
Koala – Boston-based post-rock/experimental quartet that includes James Krivchenia, Mike Simonelli, Kenyon Kowal, and Orion Boucher.  Their debut LP “Xibalba” came out in 2010 and is now available for download via the band’s official site.
Further Info: Bandcamp / Berklee Internet Radio / The SirenSound / Antimachine
Lion Cub – “Lion Cub was formed in rural Massachusetts as a recording project by students Chelsey Hahn and Chad Jewett, a project that quickly blossomed into the 11-song full-length, ‘Seneca’, a widescreen collage of classic pop, synthetic digital sounds and warm, acoustic instrumentation. Lion Cub has since played over 50 shows in a little over 6 months and has toured the East Coast of the United States.”
Further Info: MySpace / Last.fm / Blog / Boston Band Crush / Skeleton Me
Walter Sickert & The Army Of Broken Toys – “Sickert and the Toys broadcast the sound of hapless, doe-eyed innocence gazing into the abyss — which counterintuitively makes for highly enjoyable listening.
The sheer magnitude of Sickert and company’s apocalypse folk appears to have mushroomed in proportion to their roster — formerly comprising just Sickert and Edrie Edrie, now something akin to a 15-player circus of
doom. ” – Barry Thompson (Boston Phoenix)
