So far today, i've been on a dystopic spaghetti western kinda vibe(the words that popped into my head when thinking about connections between these albums): Scott Thiessen - Toy & a couple of The Howard Hughes Suite releases. Next Up: rRope, the noise rock band Scott Thiessen was part of in the 90s. From there, it'll be wherever random connections lead me!

Oh hi again. Started this morning with some Dusty Springfield and R. Stevie Moore. Then listened to all of The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night. Gonna put on Gary Wilson - Tormented in the car later, and who knows what the immediate future holds?

So got an email acouple weeks ago, informing of a new Skeletons Album called 'If the cat come back'.

Been following them for many years. Loved all their albums because they never sit still.

Every album looking like the London Underground map, hope that makes sense.

I love this band, explore their back catalogue and enjoy.

New album is out 11th September.

Came across the album 'Ultrasonic' by Field Works It's a...hold your breath...A double LP of ambient soundscapes using the echolocations of the endangered Indiana bat as source material...go with it, with musicians like Mary Lattimore, Noveller, Ben Lukas Boysen and more the album is a thing of beauty.

Have only listened to the 3 tracks on Bandcamp. But 'Bent Arcana' made up of  John Dwyer, Kyp Malone, Ryan Sawyer, Tenor saxophone player Brad Caulins & more outstanding players have nailed it.  The lead track 'The gate' is a 10 minute hypnotic masterpiece.

Lucky for us it is out this Friday, 21st August.

The new compilation album Soul Love Now: The Black Fire Records Story 1975-1993, which

originally came out via Black fire is now getting a re-release via Strut Records.

This album has got some incredible music on it, mixing Jazz, Soul African polyrhythms and spoken word.

Came out 14th August as i said on Strut Records.
