Along with fellow New Yorkers Unsane, Helmet represent one of the most succesful AmRep acts. Their 1992 track “Unsung” from “Meantime” album brought them a lot of recognition and while they never achieved mega-platinum success of bands like Nirvana, they still released a whole number of records before breaking up in 1997 and reforming in 2003.
