Sonic Youth are back…almost!
While beloved New York noisemakers are not planning to reunite any time soon or record any new music, fans can find consolation in the constant flow of SY reissues/rarities:
Exhibit A – Reissues of Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star, A Thousand Leaves, and NYC Ghosts & Flowers
Exhibit B – Spinhead Sessions (a collection of soundtrack demos to 1986 movie Made in USA)
And now Universal Music Enterprises is preparing to roll out another set of SY reissues – this one will feature Murray Street, Sonic Nurse and Rather Ripped (all part of UME’s effort to revive the band’s DGC/Geffen catalog)!
