Review – Chuter – Glisten Amber Plains

Chuter is Jack Chuter, from Basingstoke, England. He describes the music he creates as a sort of introspective, texture-thick mesh of post-metal, shoegaze, drone and ambient. With this I would have to agree. The music is a thick mesh of My Bloody Valentine, VAST and a pinch of JESU. The music and drones have that drone-like hypnotic swirly sound found on My Bloody Valentines Loveless album, with well placed reverb drenched vocals. The whole album consists of only 4 tracks, but delivers a great sonic journey. Looking forward to the future evolution of Chuter.
