9/11 is a memorable date for many reasons – chief among them being a terrible tragedy that affected us all on one level or another. It shouldn’t be surprising, then, that many artists pick that day as a release date for their work. Some of this year’s 9/11 releases will include material from the likes of Converge and Brooklyn, NY quintet Zs. Latter are celebrating ten years of activity with a retrospective box set entitled Score on Northern Spy Records. Score is a 4-CD box set which will include plenty of unreleased and out of print material from the band plus a 20-page booklet, all housed in a box designed by Fredericks & Mae. As Letters From A Tapehead reports, Neurosis will release their latest opus Honor Found In Decay on October 30th. The band will also perform at ATP’s Nightmare Before Christmas – curated by Steve Albini’s band Shellac. Latter also worked with a band on Honor, as well as 4 of their previous records. Finally, Jodis (which includes alums of Blind Idiot God, Isis, OLD and Khanate) will release their sophomore album Black Curtain on October 2nd via Hydra Head. You can read more/pre-order the album on Hydra Head blog – the page also includes a link to a track Silent Temple.
