Hollow Earth Radio Benefit
All About HER is out now! Hollow Earth Radio’s benefit compilation of experimental electronic, dark ambient, hauntology from international artists that know the spirit, commitment and value of KHUH Seattle.
The Wire Magazine named KHUH one of the “Top 100 Essential Online Radio Stations”, Which we didn’t really acknowledge or care about. Just kidding WE WERE ECSTATIC!
Curated by BLeeK of Urban Mutant, the radio show where several of the artists have provided guest mixes in the past. We hope other shows will follow suit with their own vision.
Word on the street is that Hollow Earth Radio from Seattle just put out a supermassive benefit compilation! It was compiled by BLeeK/Urban Mutant and features plenty of familiar names – Polypores, Survey Channel, Elizabeth Joan Kelly and Neuro No Neuro, to name a few.
In other words – its a party! We’re celebrating the underground, as should everyone. But I digress…
And as for the name most familiar to us? Solilians
That’s right – the Maryland/NY combo is on this one with a certified banger (or whatever kids call it these days) called There is No Michigan. Song that a trusted source once described as
Full of atmosphere. Its as if you’re flying over the buildings of old Saint Petersburg.
Outside of the compilation you can find the song on both Solilians/Skyjelly split (aka In the Running 1) and In the Running 2.5, a family tree compilation. There’s also a remix made by Merc (All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors, ifwhen, MRC Riddims) that comes with its own video.
But wait…there’s more! Earlier this year Petal Motel blog put out yet another supermassive benefit compilation – its called Compassion. That one features Solilians alongside The Howard Hughes Suite, Quintelium, The Modern Folk, The Royal Arctic Institute and many more. All the proceeds from this one are going to the National Network of Abortion Funds.
