Guest Mixes Playlists
A guest mix for iheartnoise, exclusively featuring music made by New York artists within my lifetime . Something of a farewell to NYC before I move to LA. All of this hometown music has shaped me significantly.
A sonic “goodbye” to NYC compiled by Charlie Looker (Extra Life, Psalm Zero, Seaven Teares)! More than 20 tracks plucked from seemingly every possible genre – from metal (Immolation, Brutal Truth) to noise rock (Vaz, Swans, Unsane) to hip-hop (Mobb Deep, Kool Keith).
Charlie’s most recent solo release is Simple Answers, a digital album that came out in June of last year. Even with his move underway Charlie is still staying busy- Psalm Zero is recording a new album, there’s a solo European tour that will kick off on March 12 in France and there’s also a remix he recently did for Swiss band The View Electrical.
