Helmet / Intronaut / Ribs show review+photos from Playground Boston

If there’s one thing I do love to see on a bill at the Middle East, it’s three very loud bands with three very short names. And apparently, I’m not the only one. I forgot to ask if it sold out, but headbanging room was at a premium last Wednesday as 90’s grunge veterans Helmetbrought their tour with LA prog-metallers Intronaut to the Downstairs. RIBS, the only local outfit on the bill, set the table and showed why they’ve been generating so much momentum in recent months.
