Guest Mix - Kolumbus

Guest Mix – Kolumbus

Kolumbus (real name Mark ‘Cappy’ Caplice) is an emerging artist in Ireland, whose singles Leave the Light On and I Hope You Find Happiness are available through his Bandcamp page.
Kolumbus has been making some waves abroad and, in particular the UK and Germany, where he recently toured, along with Austria, traveling over 4000km on 2 planes, 17 trains and 1 bicycle. This year, Ireland, England, Germany and the U.S.A all set to figure on his tour schedule.
In the meantime, he’s selected 10 fave inspirational songs for us to hang our attention on… ears and eyes.

Fleetwood Mac – The Chain
A stomper of a tune with one of the catchiest bass lines ever written.

Fleet Foxes – Blueridge Mountains
This song holds sentimental value for me along with a mindblowing melodies and craft.

Ben Howard – Keep Your Head Up
Ben Howard introduced me to a new way of playing acoustic guitar, Love it.

Elbow – One Day like This
One of my favorite songs of all time.

Oasis – Live Forever
Oasis represent a huge part of my youth and this song always reminds me of summers with my family. Great days.

Declan O’ Rourke – Sarah
I still remember the first time I heard this song, on “The Last Broadcast tv show with Dave Fanning…. It opened my eyes to how powerful music can be, especially with just one man and a guitar.

The Doves – Pounding
I love the relentless groove of this song, It doesn’t hold back, It gives you no choice but to stamp your feet along as if you had written it.

Damien Dempsey – Apple of my Eye
Something about this song hits me every time I hear it, it brings a tear to my eye.

Andrea Boceli + Sarah Brightman – Time to say Goodbye
The first time I heard this song I was very young, but I still remember thinking, How do they sing like that? I now know the answer to that question is be born on a different planet.

Bell X1 – Eve, The Apple of My Eye
So simple, So effective.
