Harvey Girls – Singles / Self-Titled
Harvey Girls are a duo of Melissa Rodenbeek and Hiram Lucke, which is “named after the waitresses who served travelers in the American West from the late 19th to the mid 20th centuries along the AT&SF railways” and “combine the melodies of bubblegum pop with experimentation in sound”, according to SVC Records website.
Formed in 2003 in Lawrence, KS, Harvey Girls recorded 3 albums and few singles/EPs, the most recent of which is “I’ve Been Watching A Lot Of Horror Movies Lately”. The band’s self-titled album is available for download in its entirety via archive.org website – get it here and 2006 “Our History Is Your Kitsch” is available here.
