Agile Experiments – Loukoumades (None More Records) / We have an amazing album coming out tomorrow and I’m listening to it early because that’s the kind of cool shit you can do when you run a DIY completely independent record label.
Billy Mack Collector – Searching For The Pink Elephant / File under : “happy songs about being uncomfortable” and “warm fuzzy malaise” and “Daniel Johnston joins an Elephant 6 band”
Chloroforms – Mundane Night (Triplicate Records) / A masterful balancing of eagerness to experiment, and the competent musicianship to ensure each experiment is a success. It’s sharp, clear-minded weirdness, deliberate and delightful
Saapato – Spring at Home / I don’t remember who here put me onto this one but thank you. An omni recording of a spring evening on a farm in the Hudson Valley paired with a warm ambient composition. A lovely, restorative listen – Listening Habit
VA – Thank You For Being A Friend (Friend Club Records) / Did I accidentally publish the comp early? You’ll never know. A digital reintroduction to the Friend Club. Featuring songs from bands far and wide that we love.
VA – Quadricent Components (Component Recordings) / Recommended new compilation celebrating 25 years of Component Recordings. I have a track on here, as do many talented friends – Deftly Demolition
