The Days Of Lore – Subtitled “Musings of a humble music snob”, this blog is run by Mark Lore, “a former editor at a California alt-weekly who decided to jump the sinking ship of journalism and take the sleeker, sexier U-boat of blogging to Portland, Ore.” TDoL content includes interviews, contests and lists of shows around Portland, Ore, as well as Black Friday – a special column written…well, every Friday. Of course, there’s also a number of articles on different bands, with more recent ones discussing the likes of Washington D.C. four-piece Black Tambourine, Denmark’s Kissaway Trail and Surfer Blood. Shiny Grey Monotone – Active since 2008, this blog is run by Dillinger Bixby and its a good destination to check out all things punk, noise, indie and in between. Plenty of mp3 / downloads, as well as info on such bands as Dragged By Horses, Gas Huffer, Buzzov-en, Grifters, Today Is The Day, Dead And Gone and many others. Fuppets – Music is just one of many subjects discussed on Fuppets, as the website also takes on books, cows, earthquakes, economics, engineering, injury, insects and many other things. Musically, you can expect a diverse mix of artists ranging from Sonic Youth to At The Drive In to Bad Brains to Big Black.
