If their name wasn’t enough of a giveaway (hint: its got something to do with UK art-punks Wire), this French trio plays catchy post-punk in the vein of aforementioned Wire and Mission of Burma. Nothing new here, perhaps, but well done, memorable and good enough for a couple of spins, at least.
While it may be true that there are already tons of songs written about this particular season that we’re in (case in point – “Celebrated Summer“), this one is something special. It comes from Australian trio Screamfeeder, which, much like Pixies and Husker Du before them, explores the outer limits of both quiet and loud.
