Madison, Wisconsin based band which was formed in 1984 by Bill Hobson, Dan Hobson and Michael Gerald. They released 9 albums between 1984 and 1996, including post-humous CD “The Last Waltz”.

– Their name was based on 1974 movie, which, in turn was based on Theodore Sturgeon story (Wikipedia)
– “Burl” EP was dedicated to still-living-at-the-time Burl Ives (Wikipedia)
– 1989 all-covers album “For Ladies Only” includes their rendition of Don Maclean’s “American Pie” and in 2007 Michael Gerald contributed his vocal to a cover of Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful” by New Jersey band Hunchback (Wikipedia)
– They recorded with Butch Vig and Steve Albini. “Twelve Point Buck” was an album that brought Butch Vig to the attention of Billy Corgan and Kurt Cobain (Wikipedia)
– On September 9, 2006, Killdozer played at Touch & Go 25th Anniversary in Illinois, Chicago. To promote the event, flyers declared “Fuck You, We Reunite!”, harkening back to the name of their farewell tour (“Fuck You, We Quit!”). (Wikipedia)
