Alexander Leonard Donat, the man behind the DIY label Blackjack Illuminist is one busy man – Igloo Magazine
A glimpse at the Discogs page for Alex reveals just how busy he is – think 2 bands (Jet Pilot / Flight Recorder), numerous aliases (Vlimmer / Fir Cone Children / Feverdreamt) + label he runs + books he writes + visual art he does. Enough to make your head spin, right?
Luckily for us Alex found some time to come up with a label mix that throws together 2019 output for Blackjack Illuminist, his label. Included within is music by his own projects + tunes from the excellent Phantom vs. Fire and a German post-punk/shoegaze act XTR Human (new name we’re looking forward to discovering). Dive in!
