Xqui - Microchasm

Taking a stroll down the dark forest of abstract experimentation with Xqui (again). It seems like the British producer constantly tries to outdo himself in terms of how ominous and creepy his compositions sound and if so he certainly succeeded with Swarm.

The word that comes to mind while listening to his latest is “box”. Yes, the whole affair is quite boxy and claustrophobic sounding with a possible nod to Ventolin (though not nearly as noisy). Horror soundtrack fans out there take note…

Microchasm is out on May 15 via Submarine Broadcasting Company
