]]>Hi all,
I’ve been exploring the Japanese creation myth, specifically the figure of Izanami—the goddess of creation who descends into Yomi no Kuni (the land of the dead) and governs decay and rebirth.
Given the thematic content of Japanoise (destruction, extreme volume, the sublime, and textural decay), I was wondering if any veterans here know of any releases that have touched on this subject matter.
I’m looking specifically for noise-based releases (Merzbow, Hijokaidan, C.C.C.C. etc.) that reference:
Izanami (The Keeper of Decay)
Yomi no Kuni (The Underworld/Land of the Dead)
I haven’t found a direct match, but the themes of decay and the endless cycle seem to align perfectly with the genre’s ethos.
Any knowledge of an obscure track title or album side would be greatly appreciated.
