Trunks – Kniee  / Journey To End Of The Line EP
2-track EP from this French collective that contains one track with female vocals and one instrumental track. First one sounds a lot like what post-rock bands are doing until the female vocals kick in, while the second one is a bit more of a twisted electronic journey with wordless vocals. This EP is a great showcase of the band’s capabilities. Well done.
Art Decade – Royalty EP
If memory serves me right, there was an industrial/electronic band by the name of Art Decade, but this AD is a relatively new band and there’s no relation between the two whatsoever. This AD are playing a fairly intricate form of indie rock – as title suggests, this EP is built around the theme of royalty.
The only weak link in here, in my opinion, is vocals. They’re standard – not terrible, by any means, but nothing special either. Otherwise, its an interesting EP, if not something that I listen  to very often.
The Murder – ‘Til Death
Maybe I’m just missing the point, but I don’t see anything special about this album.
This is punk-by-numbers (with the exception of reggae-influenced “Soundclash”), which sounds a lot like a simplistic version of Dropkick Murphys (complete with songs about Boston streets etc). Since we already have one band of Murphys, is there a real need for another one?
