While its not directly related to music, “Daddy Longlegs” is a movie that features three members of a rock’n’roll family – Lee Ranaldo from Sonic Youth makes a cameo appearance and his sons Sage and Frey are portraying children of the main character. It was directed by brothers Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie and follows the adventures of Lenny, a divorced father and a projectionist at a Manhattan movie theater.
The movie premiered at the 61st Annual Canes Film Festival in 2009 under the name “Go Get Some Rosemary”. It was also shown at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010.
