The album includes of David Bowie/Queen song “Under Pressure” performed with Michael Gira (Swans, Angels Of Light).
Mike McGonigal from Amazon wrote abou the album – “You might say that this is Xiu Xiu’s Dub Housing, or that it sounds like the Arcade Fire scoring a David Lynch film. Either way, it’s amazing.” Wireless Bolinger website gave the album 41 points out of 100 and characterized it as “a mish-mash of vocals, “art” noise and instruments” and pointed out that “It leaves the listener having to work hard, forcing them to delve deep within its many levels to find any form of conventional song structure and underlying message – something which seems necessary for the overwrought nature of this music.”. Other sites gave the album the following scores/ratings:
Pitchfork – 7.9 out of 10
Popmatters – 8 out of 10
Drowned In Sound – 6 out of 10
The A.V. Club – B+
